Vivien Wasp

Concord, NH – 96 of Concord, NH passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. She was born on November 3, 1929, in Bronx NY to parents Sam and Ada Hartstein.

She will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends, her fantastic work ethic at Sears, her great cooking skills, her love of yard sales and slot play at the casino. Vivien will also be remembered for her giving heart, her warm hugs, her donated homemade lap blankets and her bright red lipstick.

Vivien’s warm and charismatic personality was so dominant within her career in sales that it resulted in many awards and compliments. She also assisted her son Glenn (Sam) at his laundromat business. She brought cookies and brownies to his business and kept a watchful eye to see if patrons were going for seconds or thirds.

Vivien is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis Wasp and wife Laurie of Loudon, NH and Glenn (Sam) Wasp and wife Kathleen (KC) of Penacook NH, grandchildren Marissa Barnum and fiancé Taylor, Duncan Wasp and wife Danielle, Samantha Kenney, and a great grandson John Walker Kenney. Vivien is also survived by nieces, nephews and close friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Wasp, two sisters Lillian and Evelyn, and a brother Harold.

Calling hours will be held at Bennett Funeral Home in Concord NH on Monday July 20th from 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 21st at 10:00 a.m., also at Bennett’s; followed by burial at Blossom Hill Cemetery.”
