A car crashed in the middle of the roundabout that intersects East Side Drive and Mountain Road on Thursday morning during rush hour.

A Concord police officer at the scene said the accident occurred just before 8 a.m., with personnel responding shortly after. The car in the roundabout was a 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour.

Interim Chief Barrett Moulton said the accident only involved one vehicle with a male driver.

The person declined ambulance and fire department assistance, Moulton said. He could be seen talking to a police officer outside his vehicle around 8:15 a.m.

The circumstances around the accident are not readily available at the time of inquiry, Moulton said.
