Legal discrimination

The New Hampshire Legislature recently passed a law allowing for “No Cause Eviction.”

A landlord no longer has to prove cause for removing someone from their home at the end of their lease. If you are a complainer, if you are of a sexual orientation or practice a religion not landlord approved, if he just doesn’t like you or like the way you look, you can be evicted.

In my opinion, this is a way to put a whole segment of the population into a special category, those who own and those who don’t. A way to victimize at will.

This law not only gives a landlord carte blanche — it leaves a tenant with no protections.

The gap is growing wider! Now what?
