An opportunity for Democratic voters
The Democrats in New Hampshire have a wonderful opportunity to break free of the fossilized Democratic Party establishment and elect some real fighters for peace and justice — candidates who can actually inspire the electorate by standing up to corporate power and the millionaires and billionaires who have been calling the shots in both of our major parties to the detriment of working people.
The most exciting of these opportunities is in the race for the U.S. Senate. The establishment thinks it is Pappas’s turn to move up the ladder and is actively promoting his candidacy. But there is a primary on Sept. 8 and we have an opportunity to elect someone different. Someone who will fight the good fight. That person is Karishma Manzur.
Manzur will take on the economic and political establishments and fight for the long-ignored working class.
Unlike Pappas, Manzur will not vote for money to support a genocide when we should be spending that money here in the U.S. to support struggling families and communities.
Unlike Pappas, she will not express gratitude to ICE. Rather, Manzur will challenge the inhumane, expensive and destructive mass deportations that have been terrorizing communities, harming innocent people and have made a mockery of the rule of law.
As a life-long Democrat, I feel grateful to have the opportunity to vote for someone who really embraces what a Democratic Party should stand for (and once did). I support Karishma Manzur and urge others to do the same.
