Inaccurate campaign rhetoric
It is so stressful to be subjected to campaign ads when you know that most of what is being said is false and misleading. This is especially true when the candidate is the person who has been leading your state for the past year and a half.
When I least expect it, one of Kelly Ayotte’s current videos shows up on my TV, in which she clearly states that there has been “more funding for schools than ever.” Doesn’t she ever read the Concord Monitor? It has been full of articles discussing the terrible burden towns and cities are experiencing, trying to provide a decent education for their kids with less money from the state. Great example, “Less State Aid Shifts Tax Burden” by David Brooks in the Aug. 8 Monitor.
Oh wait! Maybe she is talking about the money from the state given to the EFA accounts, the scholarship funds, which have been growing each year, with very little accountability to the tax payers who are funding them.
