Where Is the Humanity?
In the 65% of Gaza where Palestinians are no longer allowed, there are still hundreds, maybe thousands, of bodies under the rubble.
Israel is bulldozing everything in what they call a “clean up.”
The Gazans who were forced off their land have not been allowed to search for remains of their loved ones who are buried under the rubble. No one has been allowed to search and retrieve remains of loved ones, friends, babies, grandmas and grandpas from under that bombed out land. Nothing is being saved from the remains of libraries, churches, mosques, homes, schools. Everything is being bulldozed without any opportunity to retrieve personal treasures from the destruction.
Every last bit of humanity and history is being destroyed. This is inhumane. It would not be allowed any place else. Identifiable bits of human remains are being pulverized. Each day that passes more crucial evidence is destroyed.
Senators Shaheen and Hassan, Representatives Pappas and Goodlander, I call upon you to do anything in your power to stop this destruction and see that this bulldozing is stopped until international and independent investigative experts have had the chance to search, examine, survey and document the sites.
