Carleigh Beriont: The quintessence of hypocrisy
Three pillars of Carleigh Beriont’s platform are: 1) standing up to tech/AI billionaires by refusing social media and regulating AI, 2) refusing PAC/AIPAC money and 3) her ironic motto “More Of The Same Won’t Fix This.”
However, a scrupulous look at her record reveals Beriont is the quintessence of “More Of The Same,” an east coast elite with a penchant for hypocrisy.
First, Beriont exploits loopholes to utilize social media. Instead of official candidate pages, she uses surrogate pages managed by her husband and in-laws (who are running for elected office in New Jersey) to promote herself, solicit donations and circulate invitations to out-of-state fundraisers. This strategy allows her to enjoy social media and evade accountability.
Second, FEC finance disclosures reveal more hypocrisy: 1) donor funds spent on Claude AI, contradicting her anti-AI rhetoric and 2) money accepted from leaders of JStreet, a Zionist pro-Israel lobbying PAC. This lets her enjoy PAC support, profit AI billionaires and evade accountability.
Third, Beriont lacks roots in New Hampshire. She was raised in New Jersey. Her education and career are grounded at Harvard. At a recent NJ fundraiser, Beriont expressed how “New Jersey is still very much her home”, and how she hopes to improve New Hampshire in a multitude of ways to mirror NJ.
Congress is already full of Ivy-educated politicians who avoid accountability, demonstrate hypocrisy and use loopholes at their convenience. In summary, Beriont is more of the same.
