Our democracy is under attack by self-serving politicians who seek to undermine public trust in government and deepen our political divide. I believe multiple rulings have weakened the power of the people while favoring the corporate elite, whose only goal is profit at any cost.
It’s clear that we need a new kind of politician — one who brings fresh ideas, new energy, bold vision and the courage to defend the norms and institutions on which this country was founded.
That bold new voice is Christian Urrutia, Democrat candidate for CD 1. As a human rights attorney, he will challenge the administration and the influence of insiders and billionaires in Washington while putting economic fairness at the center of his campaign — and our country. He is not beholden to American corporations or foreign governments, refusing donations from any entity that might try to influence his votes in Washington so he can remain accountable to the American people.
Christian supports the rule of law and due process and opposes ICE. He backs restrictions on stock trading by members of Congress and stronger insider trading regulations. He also sees Medicare for All as an economic necessity and prioritizes building more starter homes, supporting childcare and education costs for working families, raising the federal minimum wage and strengthening Social Security.
