Front Royal, VA – On August 21, 2026, Gail C. Fraser, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 78, surrounded by family.
Gail was born in Brooklyn, New York to Doris (Deemler) Voigt and Woodrow Voigt. Gail lived and worked in New York City and Long Island for many years and relocated to New Hampshire to raise her daughter and son in Hopkinton, later moving to Lake Horace in Weare. In 2015, Gail relocated to Northern Virginia to be closer to family, finally settling in her idyllic home on the Shenandoah River with her beloved pets.
Gail took immense pleasure in spending time with her family, friends, and pets, reading, and many pranks. She was known for her sense of humor and was always a welcoming host, inviting friends, family, and her children’s friends to share in her laughter.
Gail is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Fraser, her spouse Joseph Kwiatkowski, her son James Fraser, his spouse Richard Fung, their son Bodhi, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends, as well as her beloved cat, Charlie. Gail was pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters, Leslie Carney, Woodrow Voigt, Laura Wilber, and Richard Voigt.
A private celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a later date.
Gail’s family would like to thank the wonderful and kind staff at Warren Memorial Hospital and Blue Ridge Care. Donations in Gail’s memory can be made to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, VA (https://alexandriaanimals.org/).
