Pappas doesn’t deliver
Recently, Garry Haworth wrote to endorse Chris Pappas and tout his record. In reality, Pappas’ record is all about nibbling on the edges of our deep problems.
Negotiating a few drug prices, making health insurance a bit more affordable, and expanding Medicaid are improvements but they’re just tweaks to our broken for-profit health system. He’s against healthcare as a right, leaving it subject to one’s job or wealth. What do you expect from someone who denounces the “horrors” of socialist policies (H.Con.Res. 58)?
Pappas isn’t addressing the huge wealth inequality in this country. Billionaires added a record $2.2 trillion in wealth in 2025 while our national debt skyrocketed. That inequality skews government priorities and legislation. But, what do you expect from someone dependent on wealthy donors?
Why do we equate large campaign war chests with electability rather than with evidence of corruption?
Further, Pappas has no respect for American sovereignty. He voted repeatedly to give Israel privileged access to American technology and secrets despite the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency classifying Israel as a “critical” counterintelligence threat (the highest level in its system). The CIA expressed concerns as well. Pappas’s unwavering support for Israel also ignores its ongoing genocide in Palestine.
A vote for Chris Pappas is a vote for the untenable status quo.
