WMUR candidate debate

We are finally approaching the end of the long primary season here in New Hampshire. We are so fortunate that so many candidates stepped up to run in the First Congressional district.

My husband and I have supported Carleigh Beriont since the first time we saw all the candidates together at the Wolfeboro Tuftonboro Dem picnic over a year ago. We are impressed by how genuine she is and how she listens.

We also appreciate that Carleigh is the only candidate with true experience in governance. As chair of the Select Board in Hampton, she serves as Hampton’s chief elected leader — presiding over Select Board meetings, serving as Sewer and Election Commissioner, setting the town’s policy agenda and managing a municipal budget that determines whether roads get paved, the transfer station stays open and the fire department has the staff they need. She also serves on the Budget Committee and spends her free time looking for ways to save property taxpayers money. Carleigh loves government and working with her colleagues (Democrats and Republicans) to make life affordable and the community livable and safe. Carleigh also understands the importance of securing federal funding for municipalities.

Please make sure and tune in to WMUR to watch the candidate debate on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 8:00 p.m. This will be your last chance to compare the candidates before you vote on Sept. 8.

I’m sure you’ll agree the Carleigh Beriont is the kind of person we need in Washington DC!
