Vote for David Trumble
Republicans have controlled the NH State House, Governor’s Office, and Executive Council for the past 10 years. During this time, they have consistently cut business taxes resulting in a revenue loss of between $795 million and $1.17 billion. The Education Freedom Accounts program, paid for with our tax dollars, has increased to $87 million with no fiscal oversight. Education, healthcare, infrastructure and public services still need to be paid for. Republicans just downshifted the costs to small towns and cities across the state making our property taxes sky rocket.
I’ve seen the impact on the people in my community. People express fear and anger that they could lose their homes because of high property taxes. There are children who go to school hungry, parents who work multiple jobs and still can’t make ends meet, elders who are one emergency expense away from losing housing and have no affordable place to go. Why are our communities being sacrificed for the tax comfort of corporations and shareholders?
We are at a crossroads. I will be voting for David Trumble for State Senate, District 8. He has a vision of NH that includes all of us. I want to live in a state where all children have access to a good education, healthcare and childcare, working families can thrive, senior citizens are cared for and corporations and wealthy shareholders pay their fair share.
