Manzur will deliver
I write with appreciation for Tricia Saenger’s Sept. 1 letter “Pappas doesn’t deliver” reminding us that a vote for Chris Pappas is a vote for the status quo. There is an alternative in Karishma Manzur.
Among Karishma’s goals are to restore fair elections by banning corporate PACs, dark money and super PACs. She will fight back against the current regime’s hollowing out of the Constitution. She will work to create a single national health care plan to cover all medical needs for everyone, so that no one needs to forgo treatment or suffer crushing medical debt, or be tied to an inappropriate job just to maintain their health insurance. She will work to raise the minimum wage to a living wage, so that full time employees need not depend on government subsidies (corporate welfare) just to get by. She will support families with childcare and invest in public education. Did you know that Dr. Karishma Manzur is a medical scientist with a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology? As an actual working scientist, she will fight back against funding cuts and political attacks against public support for scientific progress.
