Stop the “con”!
An article last week by the Associated Press mentioned our president calling climate change a “con.” It got me thinking about him, something I try to avoid as much as possible to foster my own mental health. I tried to come up with anything positive either about his character, government enactments, choice of cabinet members … anything, but even though he loves gold, unlike Midas, everything he touches turns to you know what.
Is anyone’s life better? Is healthcare better? Are you spending less for groceries? For gas? Are you happy about being in an endless war? How about the billions he and his family are raking in?
This is a man who, aside from being clearly a raging narcissist, a racist and misogynist, clearly is mentally and physically unwell, yet he and his minions continue to make decisions which are alienating us from our allies, ruining our national parks, gilding the White House and visually slowly destroying D.C.
Where’s the con? He’s the con. The voters who elected him got conned and those who continue to support him and his minions will continue the con.
November is fast upon us. We need to take our government back. We need to vote thoughtfully. We need to stop the “con.”
