A pedestrian was hit by a car Friday night near downtown Concord.
Concord Police reported to the area of South Main Street and Thorndike Street around 10:45 p.m. A man had been struck by a vehicle on the roadway and was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment, according to Lieutenant Thomas Yerkes.
Police did not disclose the victim’s medical status at the time of the incident or his current status, pending an investigation. No information was provided about the cause of the incident or the driver.
It had been raining that evening, but Yerkes could not comment on the extent to which weather conditions impacted the driver’s visibility.
