Warmington’s lies are catching up to her
I just wanted to correct the record regarding a recent letter written defending Cinde Warmington’s work as an opioid lobbyist.
It is incorrect to state that Cinde was assigned this case as a new lawyer. This is false. Cinde worked for Shaheen and Gordon, which Billy Shaheen, Senator Shaheen’s husband owns.
WMUR just reported that Billy Shaheen tried to distance himself from his firm’s work on behalf of Purdue Pharma at the time. He is quoted as saying, “I can’t control my law firm … These are men and women who are partners of mine and who are able to represent who they wish to.” Cinde Warmington’s lies are catching up with her.
Another lie is that no one knew about the lies Purdue Pharma was spreading at the time. When Cinde Warmington lobbied that OxyContin was a miracle drug, that same day she went against the advice and testimony of New Hampshire State Police and HHS, who were sounding the alarms.
Cinde’s work for the opioid industry didn’t stop there; 10 years later, she represented a notorious pill mill that pushed drugs into our communities. Cinde Warmington is lying to voters. She needs to come clean about her career working for Big Pharma.
