Fix Memorial Field. Vote Liz Boucher.
Picture Memorial Field on a Friday night: the bleachers packed, the band playing, Concord High players on the field and the whole town cheering them on. It’s the heart of play for our city.
Now picture it today. The bleachers are gone, torn down because they weren’t safe. The track is unusable. When it rains, the fields flood. For a state capital, it’s embarrassing, and our kids are the ones paying for it.
That’s why I’m supporting Liz Boucher for School Board. As chair of the Capital Facilities Committee, she knows that putting off repairs never saves money. It just makes the bill bigger. She backs the long-overdue Memorial Field renovation, and she’ll keep pushing until our kids have fields they can actually use.
Liz also listens. When residents said they wanted Rundlett Middle School to stay at its current site, she helped reverse the location decision and voted to fund the new building. She wrote the Gun Free School Zone Resolution the Board passed, pushed for secure firearm storage education in district policy, and works with community partners and the District on food insecurity.
She opposes the state-mandated school budget cap, HB 1300. She cares about property taxes, but she knows that cutting our children’s education is not the answer.
And she’s a parent with two kids in our schools. She has a personal stake in getting this right.
Our kids show up on Friday nights no matter what. It’s time Concord showed up for them. Vote Liz Boucher for School Board.
