Vote for Cody York
Cody York is running for a State Representative seat serving both Loudon and Canterbury. As a lifelong resident of Canterbury and graduate of Belmont High School, he is taking time in this part of his life to focus on serving our community and amplifying young voices in our legislature.
Cody is a moderate Democrat whose top priority is delivering exceptional and accountable public services while making the best use of the resources available to New Hampshire residents.
He opposes a broad-based sales or income tax. He is concerned about the lack of housing options and the difficulty young people have staying in New Hampshire and obtaining an affordable lifestyle for their families. He also recognizes the difficulty that residents, particularly seniors, have in accessing quality medical care.
Cody supports refining the eligibility for Education Freedom Account school vouchers with means testing to ensure that any such taxpayer funds go specifically to families otherwise unable to access educational alternatives. He believes all students should have the opportunity to achieve their full potential and is a strong supporter of both education in the traditional liberal arts and of bringing more technical skills-based training into our public schools through partnerships with local businesses and institutions. Cody strongly believes in local control for decision-making on town issues and on school issues.
