Lorna Carlisle for State Legislature
Andover, Danbury, Hill, Salisbury and Webster voters (Merrimack #5): Please vote for Lorna Carlisle for state legislature.
Lorna grew up in a large family in Webster, absorbing the rural virtues of hard work, frugality, and love of nature. She’s lived in Salisbury for 22 years, many of them operating a small farm and seasonal farmstand while working fulltime in electronics sales.
She was elected to the Merrimack Valley District school board in 2025, and currently sits on the Salisbury Town budget and energy committees.
Lorna decided to run for office as she watched New Hampshire Republicans weaken support for public schools, public health and social-support programs.
As a legislator, she’ll support these bedrock values:
- Strong public-health and safety initiatives based on sound science.
- Fair funding for public schools that benefit all and that limit taxpayer-funded “education choice” detached from public accountability.
- Public school learning that doesn’t censor classroom discussions of uncomfortable but accurate facts or remove age-appropriate books from libraries or classrooms.
- A sustainable energy infrastructure that can blunt the threats of climate change.
Lorna is generous, caring and smart. She has a wicked sense of humor, listens deeply and learns fast. She’s been a mom, stepmom and family caregiver. She’s an expert birder, a talented watercolor painter and a longtime fiddler.
Vote Lorna Carlisle: She’s the complete package!
