Regulation inhibits greed

Deregulation advocates claim rules choke economic growth. But, regulation inhibits greed, not growth.

Over the past 10 years with guardrails removed, corporate profits have more than doubled while worker wages barely budge. Deregulation privatizes profits while socializing costs, leaving taxpayers to foot the bill for polluted communities, unsafe workplaces and financial instability.

In reality, regulations provide essential guardrails, not “red tape” and drive innovation. When clean air rules forced power plants to cut toxic emissions, companies invented advanced pollution scrubbers. That single regulation sparked new industries, created high-paying tech and manufacturing jobs and saved trillions in healthcare costs.

I support candidates like Chris Pappas, Maggie Goodlander, Luz Bay and Rebecca Harned, who will regulate utility monopolies to tackle rising electric bills and advocate for strong protections for consumers, workers, and our environment.

The alternative path leads to reckless deregulation, where corporations profit and families pay the price. This is the reality we are living today.
