Vote for Liz and Brenda!

I have had the honor of serving beside Liz and Brenda on the School Board for three years. Both Liz and Brenda are deeply committed to our community. They are not single-issue candidates. They focus on the full range of needs and concerns across our district. They stepped forward to ensure every child has a quality public education and a safe place to learn.

Liz asks hard questions and does not hesitate to speak up when it comes to providing a safe and healthy learning environment. Her commitment to our schools extends well beyond board meetings. She is a community leader in organizing food pantries, local PTOs and volunteer efforts. Her steady work keeps our board focused and moving forward. And on top of all she does, she is the mother of two incredible Concord elementary school students.

Brenda is a career educator. She brings that expertise to our decisions on curriculum, programming and student services. She speaks her mind, even when she stands in the minority. That takes courage, especially on sensitive topics. Our board depends on that kind of honesty.

What I respect about them both is that we didn’t always agree. However, healthy disagreement was always welcomed and encouraged. It’s so important to hear a spectrum of perspectives. That kind of leadership is essential as our district faces difficult financial decisions and an uncertain future.

I am so grateful for their service and want to see them continue the work our District needs. Vote for Liz and Brenda!
