Re-elect Liz Boucher for School Board
This School Board election calls for leaders who approach complex challenges with facts, practical judgment and commitment to our students. That is why I am voting to re-elect Liz Boucher.
As a School Board member and the parent of two children in the district, Liz brings valuable experience and a personal stake in our schools’ success. She understands that good governance requires collaboration, transparency and decisions grounded in student safety and educational needs.
A central issue in Don Brueggemann’s campaign is his opposition to the middle school traffic patterns. While concerns about traffic are understandable, effective school board leadership requires evaluating the bigger picture. Alternatives that divert bus traffic onto neighborhood streets, impact sensitive wetlands or encroach on the Abbot Downing playground and athletic fields are not practical or safe solutions.
The School Board has thoroughly reviewed these options with independent traffic engineers and other experts. Listening to residents means considering concerns, not automatically adopting every proposed solution regardless of its impact on safety, students and school operations.
Our district needs leaders focused on supporting teachers, managing facilities responsibly, and maintaining high educational standards. Liz Boucher has consistently demonstrated thoughtful, engaged and level-headed leadership. I encourage my fellow Concord residents to vote to re-elect Liz Boucher to the School Board.
