Support Brenda Hastings for School Board, Ward C
I am writing to express my support for Brenda Hastings for re-election to the Concord School Board, Ward C.
As a former teacher, Brenda brings a valuable understanding of our school system and the challenges and opportunities it faces. As a parent, she understands the needs of our students and families. And as a Concord resident who has served and continues to serve on the School Board, she brings both a personal connection to our community and firsthand experience in the work of school governance.
One of Brenda’s greatest strengths is her willingness to listen and engage with people throughout the community. She welcomes conversations, including the difficult ones, and values the opinions of others. She recognizes that individual experiences shape our perspectives and that understanding those perspectives is essential to making thoughtful, informed decisions.
Brenda approaches her service with a genuine desire to serve the community rather than advance her own interests. She values transparency in communication and understands the importance of keeping our community informed and engaged.
Our schools’ benefit when board members are willing to listen, communicate openly and consider the diverse perspectives of the people they serve. Brenda has demonstrated a commitment to these principles throughout her service, and I am pleased to support her re-election.
