Vote for transparency
We deserve to be told the truth. Gov. Kelly Ayotte has secret plans to deal with data centers, and caping tuition at our community colleges. But she won’t tell us the details until February; four months after the election. We deserve better. What about straight talk with voters? Or taking a proposal to the Executive Council or issuing an executive order? We deserve action now.
In 1968, Nixon had a secret plan to end the Vietnam War. The war raged on another five years. In 2016, Trump had a secret plan to end the war in Afghanistan. Four years later he signed a deal with the Taliban. In 2003, Bush planned to introduce a Jeffersonian democracy in Iraq. U.S. troops left the country 23 years later. In 2024, Trump had a secret plan to end the Russian attack on Ukraine. The war grinds on. In March, Trump said his war with Iran would last a week, but there is no end in sight.
Haven’t we had too many secret, empty promises? We need a new governor with the courage to give us genuine answers. Voters should weigh the honesty and judgment of candidates before voting, and to demand straight answers to tough questions. Cinde Warmington is the right person at the right time to restore trust in our government. She laid out clear plans for the challenges facing our state. Warmington won’t hide the truth or shrink from making tough decisions. We deserve the truth. Warmington will deliver it.
