We must return to our principles
Throughout history, people who have attained power, for whatever reason, have chosen to dominate the common people. In this country, however, there have been significant efforts over the years to affirm and support the majority.
A notable example is the New Deal at the end of the Depression. That movement lead to vastly increased opportunities for the “masses.” Now we find ourselves in the clutches of a President and his lackeys who care nothing for the common good and who are eagerly feathering their pockets on the backs of ordinary folks simply struggling to get by.
We need to get back to the ideals this country has represented to so many of us and that are the reasons it has represented such a beacon of hope to people the world over. A first step must be to elect fresh leadership. Here in New Hampshire in the upcoming senatorial race, we have an opportunity to take one of those steps by electing Chris Pappas for U.S. Senate. I urge readers to cast their vote for Mr. Pappas.
