Why vote for Pappas over Sununu

John E. Sununu apparently hopes voters have forgotten why New Hampshire did not return him to the Senate in 2008 after only one term.

Maybe Sununu hopes you will confuse him with his father or his younger brother. Maybe he hopes you will think of him as a conservative rather than the radical he is.

Sununu weakened federal guardrails that protected customers, employees, and communities. Since losing in 2008, he has made a fortune advising corporate boards on legal ways to avoid responsibility.

There is evidence that at least some of the businesses he advised accumulated excessive debt by buying all their competitors to achieve monopolistic power over customers, employees, and communities. Both the debt and the acquisitions would not previously have been allowed by federal law.

Chris Pappas is currently serving his fourth term in Congress. By contrast, Sununu served only a single term in the Senate nearly 20 years ago.

On Nov. 3, please vote for the candidate who serves all of us in New Hampshire, not the one who serves only the extremely wealthy internationally, and who is still seeking to privatize government services.

I will vote for Chris Pappas for United States Senator this Nov. 3. He will continue to help veterans and small business owners and will continue to protect customers, employees and communities from harm caused by financial monopolies.
