Meg Hagaman for Merrimack County Attorney
In a few short months, I will retire after six years as your Merrimack County Attorney. It was an honor to have your trust and serve you. The choice now is who will lead the Office of the Merrimack County Attorney into the future. I am confident that readers of the Concord Monitor will join Democrats, Independents, Republicans and your next-door neighbors in voting for Meg Hagaman to be our next Merrimack County Attorney.
There is no way I can summarize all of Meg’s extensive experience in a short letter. She has prosecuted every level of criminal offense from misdemeanors to felonies, including homicide. As the Chief of the Criminal Justice Bureau in the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, she led a large staff and managed a multimillion-dollar budget. Meg did all this while always remembering the human impact of doing justice for our community.
Across Merrimack County, as well as across our State, Meg has the respect of the courts, attorneys, elected officials and law enforcement. A recent endorsement in the Bow Times by Steve Shurtleff, a Democrat and former Speaker of the House, sums it up when he said: “Meghan loves this county, she cares about its people, and understands that a county attorney has to be firm in enforcing the law while being fair in carrying out that responsibility.” Join us on election day and vote for Meg Hagaman to be our next Merrimack County Attorney.
