William Strickland, Jr

Concord, NH – William G. “Bilbo” Strickland, Jr. July 4, 1959 – October 17, 2026

Billy Strickland, Jr., of Concord, NH, passed away on October 17, 2026.

Billy was born on the Fourth of July in Lincoln, NH, the son of Althea and William Strickland. He grew up in Lincoln, where he was raised in the Catholic faith. As an adult, he cared less about which church he walked into than about how he treated the people around him.

That showed most at the Friendly Kitchen in Concord, where he worked and volunteered for years. He fed people, served sundaes, and knew everyone by name.

Billy kept careful notes on everything, because remembering was important to him.

He is survived by his daughter, Kellye Sundar. When she was a little girl, he used to tell her, “I love you more today than I did yesterday, and I’ll love you even more tomorrow.”

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Willow Folsom, Keith Folsom Jr., Samuel Horn, and Balasankar Sundar; his brothers, Rick and Kevin Strickland; his nieces, Morgan Landry and Whitney Strickland; and many friends, including Caleb Keller and Ryan Lemieux.

A celebration of life was held on October 22, 2026, at 12:45 p.m. at the Friendly Kitchen, organized by Terry Blake.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friendly Kitchen.

Arrangements by Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium.
