Bogus yellow signs make me mad
I’m supporting Cinde Warmington to be New Hampshire’s next governor. I first met Cinde when she was running for Executive Council in 2020. She impressed me then with her expertise in health policy, and later, as a two-term Executive Councilor, with her courage as she bucked the tide of partisan policies favoring the rich.
Cinde is a smart healthcare attorney. She has been attacked statewide with bogus yellow signs for one case in 2001, and that makes me furious. Doctors like me were also misled by Purdue Pharma, and may have under-estimated the risks of Oxycontin as a result. None of us knew back in 2001 that Purdue was a lying criminal enterprise. How could Cinde? It’s a phony rap.
So, which candidate should write our next state budget? Budgets involve tough choices among competing priorities. Kelly Ayotte’s last budget spoke volumes about her values. She cut tax rates on businesses while slashing $50 million from the Department of Health and Human Services. The NH Fiscal Policy Institute reported that multinational companies (not Mom and Pop small businesses) enjoyed the biggest savings from Ayotte’s tax cuts. She cut over $10 million more from NH childcare, mental health, food assistance, maternal/child health and never opposed Trump’s Ugly Bill that took a trillion from Medicaid.
I want a governor whose values align with my own, who will lead us into a kinder, saner and more affordable future. I trust Cinde Warmington to do that and ask you to vote for Cinde, as I will.
