Chris Pappas supports NH Science & Technology

As our nation faces growing global competition, investing in science, technology and local innovation has never been more critical. Here in New Hampshire, we are fortunate to have a representative in Congress who understands this. Congressman (now Senatorial candidate) Chris Pappas has consistently proven himself to be a steadfast champion for our state’s scientific and technological future.

A prime example of his impact is the landmark $8 million National Science Foundation grant awarded to the University of New Hampshire. This funding launched the NH-LIFT initiative, which builds a statewide network of research facilities, expands access to advanced instrumentation, and helps retain a highly skilled, STEM-ready workforce right here in New Hampshire. Chris fought to pass the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act, which made these vital investments possible.

Beyond higher education, Pappas is a tireless advocate for Granite State small businesses. Just this past March, he helped pass the bipartisan Small Business Innovation and Economic Security Act of 2026. This legislation successfully reauthorized America’s Seed Fund (the SBIR and STTR programs), ensuring our local tech entrepreneurs have the stable funding they need to conduct high-risk, high-reward R&D and bring next-generation technologies to market.

As a member of the Congressional STEM Education Caucus, Chris Pappas continues to secure our state’s leadership in the innovation economy.
