One good thing?
It’s hard not to have conversation turn political when meeting up with friends, given that elections are just days away. We try to come up with something positive, anything good, which has come out of the current administration both federal and local. Unfortunately, the only adjectives that can currently describe our government are cruel, racist, corrupt, violent, inhumane, unscrupulous, crooked, greedy, fraudulent etc. I’m hard pressed to think of one thing. Healthcare? Wars? Food prices? Gas? The economy? Our standing in the world? Housing? How about plain old heart and kindness towards others?
I quote David French from The New York Times, “Given enough time, every institution takes on the character of its leader. Trump is a cruel man, he leads a cruel movement and only total defeat of both can free the nation from their malign control.”
We need to take back our government for the good of all. Be informed. Show up at the polls and vote.
