“Our Country”
We now live in a country that has abandoned our allies and is now cozying up to Russia. Our “special envoy” Steve Witkoff praised Vladamir Putin, calling him a “humanitarian.” We strip away healthcare coverage from millions of Americans to cut taxes for billionaires. We take away food assistance from children, to also assist in those tax cuts. We start a war in Iran that has cost at least $50 billion so far, with no end in sight and with no objectives achieved. We are in a trade war with our closest and most trusted ally Canada for no good reason, and have forced them to seek alliances in other places around the globe.
Our country can not be trusted anymore. We have killed our own citizens in our streets, and the ICE officers who are responsible have not faced any accountability. We our detaining immigrants, most of whom have no criminal record, and are placing them in horrible conditions in “for profit” facilities, paid for with our tax dollars. Because of Trump’s War in Iran, gas prices are up, diesel prices are up, grocery prices are rising and the cost of heating oil this winter is projected to be $7 per gallon.
Our president is more concerned about designing ball rooms, and getting his name on buildings than he is about you having enough for you and your family. If you do not like the direction of our country, PLEASE make sure you vote on Nov. 3!
