Vote Blue except for this one
Democrat County Attorney Candidate Steven Endres was fired from his County Attorney Solicitor position on April 4, 2025, after allegations regarding inappropriate comments and text messages were investigated. The Oct. 15 Concord Patch has an extensive article about this investigation.
Endres had been a longtime Republican until he switched his party affiliation to Democrat after April 4, 2025. It is unclear why he changed affiliation; perhaps to catch a ride on a projected “Blue Wave” next week?
We already have enough elected officials with “inappropriate comments” in elected and appointed positions (think our current President and some Supreme Court justices, to name a few). We do not need another.
Meghan Hagaman, his Republican opponent, does not have a history of disciplinary or investigative actions at either the Merrimack County Attorney’s office, nor the New Hampshire Department of Justice (respective current and former workplaces)
Paul Halvorsen, the current (and outgoing) County Attorney (and former friend and boss to Steven Endres) has endorsed Meg Hagman for the role.
Merrimack County voters: this is one Red vote to make!
