The Concord Farmers Market will open for its 38th season this Saturday.

The market, believed to be one of the oldest in the state, will set up shop on Capitol Street next to the State House every Saturday from now until about October. The road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. during that time frame.

The market began in the summer of 1981 in the parking lot of the New Hampshire Savings Bank, now the Attorney General’s office, and moved to its current location on Capitol Street next to the State House in 1988, according to the market’s website.

The market boasts more than 40 members from the greater Concord area. For a complete list, visit the market’s website at concordfarmersmarket.com.
