Samantha Ossoff has been named to the dean’s list for the 2020-2021 academic year at Union College.

Ashley Plante was named to the president’s list for the spring semester at Plymouth State University.

Sydney Plantewas named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Quinnipiac University.

Daniel Rydel earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and management, cum laude, from the University of Rhode Island.

Isaiah Saunders earned a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric and theater at Bates College.

Kayla Taylor was named a National Champion on top of her World Champion Title for Tap Dance. She competed with Concord Dance Academy in July at the Elite Dance Challenge Nationals in Hyannis, Mass., with her tap solo “Funkier Than a Mosquito’s Tweeter” choreographed by Hilary Fuller. She entered the title competition landing first runner up to title dancing against some tough competition. After that competition, she had to place in the top three high scores to make the Elite Dance-Off on Sunday. Kayla had to wait for another 76 solos in her competitive category to find out if she maintained a top spot for the dance-off. After, she found out that she was the second-highest score in the Teen Competitive Solo Division and was moved onto the Solo Dance Challenge, where she competed against the top three solos in each division including Senior Solos. Taylor received the highest scoring solo and earned the right to be called the Elite Dance Challenge Grand National Champion and bringing home a $500 cash prize. Her teammates joined her with their Contemporary Small Group “For All We Know” choreographed by Meredeth Routon. This dance included Jenna Souhlaris, Rylee Lounsbury, Madison Whiting, Meaghan Nyhan and Kayla Taylor. The contemporary dance landed third overall in the Senior Small Group Category, moving them onto the group showcase where they placed eighth overall high score out of the competition.

Paweenkanit Wongsinghagul earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental and natural resource economics, and a certificate in energy economics and policy from the University of Rhode Island.
