Liz Truss became the shortest reigning Prime Minister Britain has ever had. The reason for her very short tenure was that she decided to impose supply side economics to an ailing economy. Her plan consisted of huge tax breaks for the rich and further cuts in an already shrinking social safety net for the rest of society plus running up a huge debt. These plans sent the economy of Britain reeling in a downward spiral and plunge that resulted in her resignation. Voters beware.
Although Republican candidates like Don Bolduc, Bob Burns, and Karoline Levitt don’t go around talking about it they have the same economic plans as Liz did. In fact, they all go further. They want to eliminate Social Security and Medicare and destroy Obamacare. If you’re frustrated with the persistent inflation, that is now worldwide, like I am, don’t look to Republicans to fix it. They don’t have any real plans to do so and the plans they do have will send this economy reeling. Meanwhile, Democrats Maggie Hassan, Annie Kuster, and Chris Pappas have worked tirelessly to see us through the pandemic, make investments in our infrastructure, bring medical services to veterans, onshore key and vital semi-conductor manufacturing, repair the supply chains, and lead us back to energy independence through green technologies. On top of that, the Biden Administration has cut the deficit in half since coming into office. If you care about the economy, Social Security, and Medicare vote for Democrats.
