Congratulations to the veterans who earned top honors in the New Hampshire Veterans Home Olympics’ closing ceremonies on Aug. 6: Ronald “Ron” Barcomb, Reginald “Reggie” Watson and James Garlets. The NHVH Olympic Games brought a lot of laughs from the July 26 beginning with ‘javelin’ toss – right up until the final (noodle) hockey competition. Other events included target shooting, biking, Frisbee toss, (Wii) boxing, volleyball, (table) tennis, (mini) golf, (dice) horse racing and ‘weight lifting’ (Tai Chi). Pictures of the fun and fierce competition among 24 NHVH Tarr neighborhood veterans are on their Facebook page at facebook.com/nhveteranshome.
Ron, Reggie and James also have another thing in common; all three served in the United States Army during the Vietnam 3ra. We salute them!
