PORTLAND, Maine – Conner Greene allowed just three hits over seven innings, leading the New Hampshire Fisher Cats over the Portland Sea Dogs in a 4-0 win on Monday.

Greene (5-5) struck out one and walked two to pick up the win.

In the top of the second, New Hampshire took the lead on a triple by Derrick Loveless that scored Rowdy Tellez and Reese McGuire. The Fisher Cats then added single runs in the fifth and ninth innings. In the fifth, Dwight Smith hit a solo home run, while Ryan Lavarnway hit a solo home run in the ninth.

Teddy Stankiewicz (4-9) went six innings, allowing three runs and four hits in the Eastern League game. He also struck out six and walked three. Murphy Smith pitched two scoreless innings for his fourth save of the season.

The Sea Dogs were blanked for the 11th time this season, while the Fisher Cats’ staff recorded their seventh shutout of the year.

With the win, New Hampshire improved to 10-5 against Portland this season.
