On Oct. 15, Merrimack County Department of Corrections Superintendent Joseph Costanzo recognized Grayson Lawlor as the first Honorary Correctional Officer.

Superintendent Costanzo presented Grayson with a certificate at the 115th NH Association of Counties Correctional Academy graduation, which was held at Merrimack County Department of Corrections. Merrimack County Department of Corrections staff was initially introduced to Grayson and his mother, Stephanie, at the Hopkinton State Fair, where they were amazed by his enthusiasm and support for law enforcement, specifically corrections. Superintendent Costanzo, along with the NH Association of Counties, made it possible for Grayson to graduate as an Honorary 115th Correctional Academy Graduate. Graysonโ€™s mother remarked before the ceremony that Grayson is โ€œover the moonโ€ with excitement, and he cannot wait to join the ranks as an Honorary Correctional Officer.
