President Biden is up to his political stunts again. He is authorizing another 15 million barrels of oil to be released from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). This is a move that Hassan, Pappas and Kuster support. It is a stunt just before the midterm elections to take credit for lowering gas prices at the pump. The SPR is there to supply our military with the fuel it needs to defend our country from attack, not lower the prices at the pump.We have got to stop the Democrats from enacting policies that just get them political power at the expense of our national security and a stable economy. This is a fool’s errand because as Biden reduces our SPR, the OPEC+ countries just reduce their output to keep the prices high.
All the Democrats have to do is to unwind the restrictive regulations they imposed on our fossil fuel industry to produce more domestic oil and gas and provide jobs to our American petroleum workers instead of creating jobs for Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. This strategy will offset an OPEC reduction in supply. If a Republican president did this, The Washington Post, New York Times, CNN and MSNBC would have the headline of this letter be the reporting for a week. This is why we need to speak out and vote for Bolduc, Leavitt and Burns on November 8th. Return the political power to the people not the Washington establishment.
