Three Concord football players earned all-conference honors Wednesday afternoon, head coach Jim Corkum said in an email.

Senior captains Hunter Jeffers, Kody Rashed and Kaevryel Madison each earned First Team All-North Conference honors as voted upon by the coaches that make up that half of Division I.

All three players were two-way starters for the Crimson Tide and were three of the bona fide leaders of the team this past fall. Jeffers, a 6-foot-1, 285-pound offensive and defensive lineman, was the anchor for Concord’s offensive line this season. Primarily at left tackle, Jeffers helped pave the way for an offense that averaged 35.6 points per game.

Running behind Jeffers’ offensive line was Rashed, who starred as a running back, but his all-conference recognition is for his play at linebacker. An outside linebacker in his Corkum’s defense, Rashed frequently was able to use his speed and tracking skills to bring down ball carriers to the ground before they even broke past the line of scrimmage.

Closing out the awards is Madison. A spectacular football player on both sides of the ball, the 5-foot-9, 160-pound defensive back displayed the capability of making plays all over the field. Whether it was in the passing game rerouting opposing wide receivers and causing pass breakups or coming up from his strong safety position in the run game and stuffing ball carriers, Madison was a do-it-all player for the Tide.

Four other Concord players received recognition for their play this past season in the form of honorable-mention awards. Zack Doward (junior quarterback), Divon Duncan (junior running back and defensive back), Austin Wells (junior tight end and defensive lineman) and Jaycee Haskell (senior lineman) all earned honorable-mention nods from the voting coaches.

The North conference is made up of Bedford, Concord, Goffstown, Manchester Central and Manchester Memorial. The Tide went 2-2 against their division opponents and scored an average of 30.2 points in those four games while giving up 31.5.

Overall, in Corkum’s first year, Concord posted a 3-6 record and retains several key pieces for next season, including Doward and Duncan.
