HDHS spring sports tryouts

Hillsboro-Deering High School spring sports tryouts/practices will begin on March 21. Baseball, boys’ lacrosse and girls’ lacrosse will start at 3 p.m. at their respective playing fields. Track and field will meet at 3 p.m. in the HDHS cafeteria and softball will start at its field at 4 p.m. Sign ups are open online at hdsd.org/Page/1465 through Friday. All athletes trying out must have a current physical on file with the school nurse or have one ready to turn in to their coach. All athletes trying out must also have current Impact test results readily available if needed. Athletes needing an Impact test should see Coach Wood during the week of March 21. All athletes are responsible for their own hydration for the entirety of the season.

AAU hoops tryouts

Granite State Raiders basketball tryouts/registrations for boys and girls in grades 6-11 will be held Saturday from 8:30-11 a.m. and on Sunday from 9-11 a.m. at the Health Club of Concord, 10 Garvin Falls Road. Legion baseball

Registrations are now open for the American Legion Concord Post 21 senior team for players ages 16-19. Tryout dates will be announced soon. Football coaches needed

The Hillsboro-Deering/Hopkinton Redhawks football program has the following coaching vacancies for the 2022 season: varsity assistant and two JV coaches. Previous high school and college playing experience preferred. Interested applicants who can commit to the season should submit an application at hdsd.org/employment.

Tryouts/Registrations

Concord Little League registration is open for children ages 4-13 in the following towns: Concord, Bow, Hopkinton, Henniker, Penacook and Loudon. Register at concordnhlleaugue.com. Five levels of baseball are offered: tee-ball (A), coach pitch (AA), minors (AAA), majors and a new intermediate league (13 year olds, play on a 50/70 diamond that is larger than the 46/60 little league size). Concord Northeast Baseball and Softball registration is now open. Concord Northeast offers t-ball (ages 4-6), softball (8U through age 16), and baseball (coach pitch, AA/AAA, majors, and Babe Ruth (up to age 15). Softball is open to Concord residents. T-ball and baseball are open to kids who live in, or attend school, in Concord, Hopkinton or Pembroke. Registration and additional information can be found at concordnortheast.com.
