The Bow Youth Football team won the Granite State Football League varsity championship (seventh and eighth grades) with a 22-6 win against Merrimack Valley. Bow finished 7-1 after winning the fourth GSFL title in the team’s 16-year history.
Bow team members include: Jake Antuna, Adam Auclair, Eli Ayers, Sam Bennett, Benjamin Bourbeau, Tate Coffman, Harrison Denise, Mackenzie Ferrer, Jonathan Gancarz, Jackson Hall, Samuel Hammond, Hunter Hutchinson, Clayton Kenneson, Dylan Lake, Peyton Larrabee, Brady Lover, Jayden Maycock, Gabe Menchion, Gabe Murdough, Andrew Nolin, Talon Perkins, Paxten Roberts, Thomas Shiegel, Theodore Schneible, Caleb Schumacher, Jonathan Sisk, Jack Wheller and Joseph York. The team was coached by Shaun Lover, Lee Kimball, Charlie Roberts, Ben Kimball, John Wheeler, Harlan Hutchinson, Bryce Larrabee, Eric Davis and CJ Lake.
The Concord Youth Hockey Bob Mariano CDJR 14U Premier team claimed a 4-3 win against Lakes Region 14U and a 7-0 win against the Mighty NH Avalanche 14U Premier team. Scoring was led by Bobby Bourgault, Colby Nyhan, Logan Hayes, Bryden Caron and Evan Purtell paced the scoring for Concord, while Cam Carter, Logan Hayes and goalie Bruce Marshall led the defense.
■ The Concord Capitals Smokeshow BBQ 12U Peewee Premier team had a great game against a tough NH Avalanche 08 Premier team and came away with a 7-3 victory with point contributions from nine different players.
■ The Flanagan’s Southender Concord Capitals Mite Elite hockey team defeated the Manchester Flames 3-2 on goals from Owen Ritter and Owen Rumfelt and two assists from Mason Page. Finley Emerson, Carter Harrington, Maddox Harvey and Chatham Heath were relentless on the forecheck for Concord and helped secure their team a tough road win.
Jon Lorden scored his first career hole-in-one on the ninth hole of the Concord Country Club. His ace covered the 170 yards with a 6 iron. It was the 14th hole-in-one made at the Concord Country Club in this extended season. Playing with Lorden and witnessing the shot were Greg Carbone of Concord, Matt Arvanitis of Hooksett and Matt Burroughs of Manchester.
