Concord‘Art of the House Party’ special event

Imagine spending an evening with friends celebrating the architecture, history and style of one of Concord’s most stylish homes. You sip your favorite beverage as you mingle with artists who have created an exhibit of mansion-inspired artwork, including party dress sculptures, oversized charcoal drawings, and teapots that play with history. Then the meal begins. Five lavish courses, crafted especially for the space and art exhibit by Chef Chris Roscoe of O Steaks & Seafood, and cooked to perfection in the converted carriage house that serves the mansion. The meal is perfectly timed, and ends with the perfect dessert, and one last glance around the gorgeous mansion that six generations of prominent Concord residents have called home. The event is “The Art of the House Party” and the place is the Kimball Jenkins Estate at 266 N. Main St., in Concord’s original Historic District. The show is “Dressed to Draw” by High Season Artists. The aim is to throw a party for the house and show off its many splendors, including the famous attic, staircase, and four extravagant parlor rooms. The artwork and party dress sculptures explore what a great house and house party are all about. One of the dresses has added pockets with secrets inside, just like the many secrets the Kimball Jenkins Estate holds! We welcome everyone to join us for this special event on Sept. 21. Hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75. Seating is limited – reservations required.
