Danbury residents are looking to revive its American Legion Lee Knapp Post 96. The Blazing Star Grange recently donated $1,000 to help the Legion get its hall back in shape.

Named after Lieutenant Lee H. Knapp of Danbury who died in France during World War I, Danbury’s post was organized in 1946 and chartered in 1947. The veterans of this post make their home in what was originally a grain store across the road from the Grange Hall in Danbury’s downtown area.
