Police say they’re investigating a reported shooting that left a 42-year-old New Hampshire man injured.

Police received reports of a man with blood on him walking on the side of the road near a pickup truck in Jaffrey on Saturday night. Jason Conety was found on the ground with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

He was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital, then transferred to Elliot Hospital in Manchester where police say he’s in stable condition.

State police are assisting with the investigation.
