■The Pittsfield Budget Committee will hold a public hearing for the proposed Pittsfield town and school budgets on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Lecture Hall of the Pittsfield Middle High School, 23 Oneida St. A snow date for this meeting will be Friday at 7 p.m. in the PMHS Lecture Hall.

■Pittsfield Historical Society will hold its Annual Meeting on Tuesday at the Society’s headquarters at 13 Elm St. The meeting will start at 7 p.m.

■The Pittsfield Historical Society continues to raise funds for the new Museum and Headquarters. A commemorative garden on the Museum grounds is being worked on. ■The town has a winter parking ban on town roads effective through April 15. This ban prohibits parking in or on the town’s roads or rights of way between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. The town has the right to ticket or tow violators. The purpose of this parking ban is to allow the winter or inclement weather maintenance crews unobstructed routes for snow removal and ice control, to maintain the maximum effectiveness of their efforts.

■School concert season is quickly approaching! We invite all family, friends and community members to join our students at our January concert series. All PES students in grades one through four will have their winter concert on Jan. 14, and students in grades five through six and band will have their winter concert on Jan. 21. Also, the PMHS Band and Chorus will be performing on Jan. 15. All concerts start at 6:30 p.m. in the PMHS gym. Students are asked to report to the school by 6:15 p.m. to line up and start promptly.

■Put on your blue suede shoes, hop into a big yellow taxi, and come bob-bob, bobbin’ along to the Suncook Valley Chorale’s winter concert “Primary Colors in Song.” Join us as we sing of beautiful blue skies, yellow birds, rainbow connections and, in a nod to New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation status, we’ll celebrate the primary season with “Stars and Stripes Forever,” the “Star Spangled Banner,” and more! Directed by Scott Lounsbury and accompanied by Calvin Herst, the Suncook Valley Chorale is Concord’s non-auditioned community chorale. Performances are Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. Tickets are available at the door: general admission $18, seniors and students, $15.
