■Winni River Days return June 17 to 19. The Vendor Village will open Friday night from 4 to 8 p.m. plus live music and downriver races. Saturday kicks off with a 5K race at 9 a.m. followed by 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. activities including boat races, duck races, live music, a beer garden and many vendors.
■Paul Smith School celebrates the promotion of the Kindergarten Class on June 14 at 5:30 p.m. and followed by a spring concert by grades Kindergarten and first grade.
■The Paul Smith School Third Grade Ukulele Club will perform at the NH Fisher Cats game on June 17. Enjoy the great American pastime while supporting these youngsters.

■The Franklin Animal Shelter provides shelter for dogs and cats. Surrenders can be accepted only from Andover, Boscawen, Franklin, Hill, Salisbury and Tilton. An appointment is necessary for surrenders by calling 603-934-4132. Donations of used linens and other items are always welcome.
