Concord voters in Wards 5, 6 and 7 are fortunate to have a solid candidate running for a school board seat and that is Cara Meeker. As a newcomer to Concord, Cara has immersed herself in community volunteer activities. She is a strong advocate for public schools and has studied up on issues Concord schools have and are facing currently. She has a child at Abbot Downing School and thus has a vested interest in Concord delivering quality education opportunities.
She understands the importance of supporting teachers. Cara is a good communicator and my experience with her is that she is an effective listener. Her professional background includes working with citizen groups and legislative bodies. She has the patience and experience to work through and find consensus around contentious issues that school boards face. Please join me in voting for Cara Meeker for Concord School Board on November 8th.
