A police pursuit across multiple towns ended in a rollover crash early Tuesday morning, leaving a Hooksett man seriously injured, according to the state police.

At 2:47 a.m., New Hampshire State Police said troopers stopped a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta on Interstate 93 southbound in Bow. During the initial interaction, the driver — later identified as Aaron Thurber, 21, of Hooksett — suddenly drove away at a high speed.

A multi-town chase ensued.

South of the Hooksett tolls, troopers deployed tire deflation devices, successfully puncturing one of the Volkswagen’s tires.

Police said Thurber sped through a work zone in Hooksett then cut across a restricted-access crossover and sped north. Once in Northfield, he swerved off to the right, hit an embankment, and the vehicle rolled over.

Thurber was also transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries and charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, disobeying a police officer and reckless operation.
